Issue: Cannot use Citrix Receiver 12.7.0 to access Citrix applications from Mac.

Work Around: Don’t use Citrix Receiver. Instead, use Safari to access Citrix at https://Citrix.TSRH.org

Fix - Short Answer: Browse to https://storefront.tsrh.org/Citrix/TSRH/discovery, import the certificate found there, and finish the Citrix update that pops up (with a new name if needed)

Fix - Longer Answer:

  • Browse to https://storefront.tsrh.org/Citrix/TSRH/discovery
  • You will receive a warning - a pretty dire warning – select advanced to see more choices then proceed by selecting the “I am aware of the risks” link
  • Enter your password to update your Certificate vault
  • Update the Citrix connection (I had to give it a new name to complete the setup)
  • Launch Epic (or any other Citrix application)

Explanation: High Sierra 10.13.1 improves security by warning users of websites and applications that are using older/weaker certificates. Unfortunately, certificates are not always encountered while browsing with Safari. Citrix Receiver is one of these cases. To import the certificate, you need to access the Citrix Receiver web page (not normally published) to import the certificate and get past the error, then Citrix Receiver will work.
